FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to process of uninterrupted machining of surface, specifically, pickling and cleaning of steel strips in machining chamber. Strip is moved through machining chamber over approximately horizontal trajectory and machining fluid, specifically, pickling solution is fed into chamber. Machined surface is subjected in this case to action of increased shear force of machining fluid by supply and swirling of fresh solution into zone of formation of raised velocity of flow. Gear for realization of process in machining chamber has pickling tank where several devices ensuring increase of shear force between strip and machining fluid thanks to use of devices enhancing velocity of flow and to arrangement of nozzles to supply fresh solution in zone of these devices are located. EFFECT: increased machining efficiency, diminished dimensions of gear, reduced temperature of machining and operational expenses. 17 cl, 8 dwg
