FIELD: mechanical engineering; oil systems of internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: oil filter has housing 1, bottom 2 with oil inlet channels 3 and central oil outlet channel 4, filter element 11 accommodating bypass valve with seal 19 and body 20 with holes 22, and bypass post 5 with outer flange 10 on which filtering element 11 is installed. Hole 24 is made in cover 23 of filtering element 11. Additional valve body 27 is secured on cover 23 from below. Hole 23 is closed by seal 26. Body 27 has inner flange 28 to limit travel of seal 26. Post 5 of complex shape consists of two hollow coaxially installed different diameter cylinders fitted on into the other and connected by solid ring over cylinder overlapping depth. Inner cylinder is closed by partition 9. Outer cylinder is closed by cover 16 with hole 17 closed by seal 19 of bypass valve. Bypass valve body is secured on cover 16. Holes 12 and holes 13 are made in ring between cylinders of post 5. Spring 21 is located between seals 19 and 26. Spacer spring 32 is placed between electric contact 30 secured on housing 1 and cover 23. Seals 19 and 26, spring 21 and 32, covers 16 and 23, post 5, bottom 2 and electric contact 30 are manufactured of conducting material. Bodies 20 and 27 are made of dielectric material. proposed filter provides timely indication of contamination of filter and reliably protects engine from nonfiltered oil without increase in overall dimensions of filter.
