BURNER ADAPTER FOR REDUCTION OF LIBERATION OF TOXIC GASES (VERSIONS) AND METHOD OF COMBUSTION OPTIMIZATION Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

Abstract RU 2089785 C1

FIELD: combustion systems. SUBSTANCE: combustion system includes burner 10 at reduced liberation of NOx which may be adjusted for obtaining optimal rate of combustion, temperature and oxygen level. Burner includes nozzles 34, 36 and 38 for supply of gases through which portion of air is introduced for combustion and bladed swirler 20 for rotating and mixing gases in primary combustion zone. Swirler 20 may be adjusted axially to change distance between swirler 20 and first zone of combustion; blades of swirler 20 may be adjusted by angle of their setting for optimization of rotation and mixing of gases. Air for combustion is fed to air passage 16 to form different zones of combustion to ensure complete combustion. Rate of air flow for combustion is regulated by means of damper 14 in accordance with combustion characteristic. Additional reduction of liberation of toxic effluents may be obtained through recirculation of flue gases and mixing them with fuel for combustion before introducing into combustion chamber through eductor nozzles 34, 36 and 38. Further reduction may be obtained through admixing secondary compound, such as water or chemical agent to recirculated flue gases for optimization of combustion level, thus reducing effluents. EFFECT: reduced liberation of nitric oxides. 20 cl, 6 dwg
