FIELD: conversion of kinetic energy of vehicle rotating wheel to electric energy for loads installed on these wheels, including lighting energy sources. SUBSTANCE: device has ac generator 5 and lighting unit 6 with light-emitting diodes 16 placed in case 4 attached to vehicle wheel 2 so that it can be easily removed. Generator 5 has stator 7 placed in case 4 coaxially to wheel and cylindrical rotor 8 whose shaft 9 carries on its end section eccentrically arranged weight preventing rotation of rotor 8. Parallel interconnected light-emitting diodes 16 are connected to leads 12 of stator winding through diode 17 whose anode is connected to cathodes of light-emitting diodes 16. Case 4 functions as wheel guard; light-emitting diodes are arranged on front surface of case 4 and closed with transparent shield 19. EFFECT: improved stability of nonrotating image of informative or decorative character on wheel during its movement, facilitated installation and removal of device, combined functions of case as wheel guard and as informative or decorative panel. 3 dwg
