FIELD: neurosurgery. SUBSTANCE: ventricular catheter is introduced into patient's brain's lateral ventricle, followed by connecting catheter with low-pressure, low-resistance drainage system, opposite end of which is introduced into final cistern of spinal marrow. EFFECT: proposed method makes it possible to prevent dislocation and wedging of brain into tentorial foramen and great foramen.
