FIELD: plastic metal working, namely forming curvilinear parts of sheet blanks with use of resistance heating. SUBSTANCE: technological cover plates are fixed along generatrix of preliminarily shaped sheet blank by means of electric resistance welding. Said cover plates with thickness no less than that of blank are made of more ductile material with less resistivity. Cover plates are in the form of several rectangular strips arranged in parallel to its generatrix. EFFECT: enhanced quality of parts due to their lowered warping, reduced cost price. 2 dwg
