FIELD: methods of welding structures from metals and alloys undergone polymorphic transformation; may be used in fabrication of complicated large sheet structures. SUBSTANCE: plastic deformation of weld is carried out both in heating after welding, or in cooling during welding up to temperature 15-20 C below the temperature of allotropic transformation by a value equalling the height of reinforcement and weld penetration above base metal thickness. EFFECT: reduced labor input; increased operating efficiency; extended process potentialities of use of existent equipment for welding of structures; improved mechanical properties of welded joints such as strength, ductility and durability. 2 cl, 1 tbl
