FIELD: spring coiling automatic machines. SUBSTANCE: mechanism for cutting off wire includes housing, shears having stationary and movable members with cutting portions. Stationary member is in the form of base with two mutually parallel walls between which movable member in the form of double-arm lever is arranged. Said double-arm lever is mounted on axle secured to said walls. One of said walls and double-arm lever engaging with that wall are provided with cutting portions. Other end of double-arm lever has spherical abutment for engaging with rotating shaft. Cutting portion of each member of shears is made by fusing tool steel on shear members of constructional steel.
