FIELD: manufacture of ceramics and refractories. SUBSTANCE: composition comprises, wt.-%: refractory filler, 98-99; carbon additive, 0.3-0.8; oxygen-free compound forming refractory oxides with 2-3 valent cations, 0.5-0.7; and oxide, 0.2-0.5. Coarsely dispersed filler fraction is mixed with oxygen-free additive portion, and finely dispersed fraction is mixed with oxide additive portion. Fractions are stirred, molded and products are roasted. Characteristics: bending strength is 170-190 MPa, glass resistance (in barium-silicate melt at 1400 C) due to weight loss is 0.1-4.5 vol %.
