FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: in a method of cokeless liquid iron production from fine-grain metal oxide particles, the latter together with hot reductive gas are blown in into glowing bulk filter bed made up of lump coal and/or ceramic bodies. Considerable part of particles are retained on filter bed and inside the bed and subjected to ultimate reduction by reductive gas. When oxygen-containing gas is blown in onto filter bed, it is preceded with high-temperature flame fusing metallized particles retained in filter bed. Thus formed fusion passes through filter bed into liquid metal admission chamber. EFFECT: facilitated process. 21 cl, 3 dwg
