FIELD: metallurgy; methods and devices for the direct reduction of the ferric oxides and production of the iron melt.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of metallurgy and may be used for production by reduction of iron in the countercurrent with the products of conversion of the methane and the direct production of the iron-carbon alloys by means of the plasma technology. The iron-ore charge is preliminary reduced into the solid state in the reduction reactor in two reduction areas, then conduct its after-reduction and melting in the smelting furnaces. One of the reduction areas is formed in the middle part of the reactor by the effluent gases coming out from its upper part, which after the dry purification are converted in the plasma-chemical generator and are fed into the plasma plasmotrons for conversion by the natural gas and water and production of CO andН2 of the preset concentration. The second reduction area is formed by the purified effluent gases coming out from the smelting plasma furnaces. Release of the reduced substance from the reduction reactor is exercised by two torrents. One torrent is cooled and through the unloading assembly and the bypass channels are routed to the briquetting installation, and the second high-temperature torrent is directly routed for the subsequent melting into the smelting plasma furnaces. The invention allows to realize the high-velocity process of the chemical reactions of reduction, to improve utilization of the effluent gases, to increase profitability of the smelting of the metal and to improve the bionomics.
EFFECT: the invention ensures the high-velocity process of the chemical reactions of reduction, the improved utilization of the effluent gases, the increase profitability of the smelting of the metal, the improved bionomics.
