FIELD: investigation ballistic examination. SUBSTANCE: method consists in examination of abrading sections on both sides of single-layer cloth obstacle and comparison of the obtained results. The type of color of the abrading sections is determined visually; the side of the obstacle with homogeneous color of the abrading section in the side of bullet entrance, and the side with stripped color is the side of bullet exit. EFFECT: facilitated procedure.
