FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves determining functional state of skin macrophages by applying histochemical examination method. The cells are incubated with adenosine-5-monophosphate, stained with ammonium or sodium sulfide for detecting 5-nucleotidase. Its contents in cellular cytoplasmic membrane being equal to 11.3 ± 1.7, chronic persistent hepatitis is diagnosed. Its contents in cellular cytoplasmic membrane being equal to 5.3 + 0.4, chronic active hepatitis is diagnosed. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of diagnosis. 4 dwg
