FIELD: geophysics for determination of earthquake time in a seismo-active region. SUBSTANCE: standard atmosphere displacement vector for each lunar month of each lunar year of the 12-month lunar cycle is determined for each earthquake detection meteorological station located on a plains country around the seismo-active region, the parameters (speed and direction) of the actual atmosphere displacement vector are measured daily on each earthquake detection meteorological station. the parameters of the actual atmosphere displacement vector are compared with the parameters of the standard atmosphere displacement vector; at a deviation of the actual atmosphere displacement vector the actual atmosphere displacement vector is graphically divided into a standard atmosphere displacement vector and a vector due to interference that had caused the deviation of the actual vector from the standard one; the azimuth data of the atmosphere displacement vector from interference of each meteorological station are plotted on a geographic map, the point of interference origin is determined according to the point of intersection of the azimuths; at a coincidence of the point of interference origin for 5-6 days after its beginning and as a result of classification of energy actions on the atmosphere in the area of intersection of the azimuths one can judge of the beginning of earthquake 21 day after the beginning of interference.
