FIELD: medical engineering; radiological therapeutic irradiation systems designed to destroy malignant tumors. SUBSTANCE: system has X-ray generation facility in the form of electronic gun with target, device for modulation of X-ray intensity provided with klystron and selection facility installed in direction of X-ray motion. Selection facility is connected electrically to klystron which can be amplitude- modulated. Selection facility has microwave source connected to device designed to select amplitude modulation frequency equal to resonance frequency of interaction of subject material and radiation energy absorbed by it. Provision is also made for X-ray scanning facility and facility which detects radiation performed and is fitted with recording device which may include several pickups arranged in symmetry with several X-ray generators around subject being examined. System operates as follows. Subject is irradiated by intensity-modulated scanning X-ray, and performed radiation is detected. In this case X-ray is preliminarily scanned by variation of microwave modulation signal frequency. Resonance frequency of performed radiation absorption is determined by decrease in radiation intensity. Resonance frequency is recorded and selected as microwave modulating absorption frequency. This done, X-ray is amplitude- modulated at selected microwave modulating frequency of absorption. Then X-ray is used to irradiate pathological material which may consist of malignant cells, their parts, as well as viruses or their parts and of molecules. EFFECT: enhanced selectivity of therapeutic effect on subject under test. 10 cl, 3 dwg
