FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: device for successive generation of X-ray beams with different energy levels consists of: pulse modulation apparatus, designed for generating the first pulsed voltage, second pulsed voltage, third pulsed voltage and fourth pulsed voltage; electron beam generating device, designed for generating the first electron beam, with the load of the first beam, and the second electron beam, with the load of the second beam, respectively, based on the first pulsed voltage and second pulsed voltage; device for generating microwaves, designed for generating first microwaves, with first power value, and second microwaves, with second power value respectively based on the third pulsed voltage and fourth pulsed voltage; electron beam accelerating device, designed for accelerating the first electron beam and the second electron beam respectively, with use of the first microwaves and second microwaves, so as to obtain the first and second accelerated electron beams; and a target, designed for colliding with the accelerated first electron beam and accelerated second electron beam, so as to generate the first X-ray beam and second X-ray beam, with different energy levels.

EFFECT: design of a simpler system, providing for examining large objects with possibility of recognising the materials.
