FIELD: petroleum geophysics; applicable in measuring of azimuth of deflecting tools in vertical wells. SUBSTANCE: the essence of the invention consists in that in process of operation, turning of deflecting tool round its axis is detected by variation of signals from flux-gate meter which are formed with the help of power supply unit supplying units of flux-gates 1 and 2 with sampled signals, and separation with the help of filter unit 4 of filtered signal. The latter is converted by signal conditioner 5 into normalized analog signal of bottom hole transducer and transmitted via communication lines 6 to surface unit 8 for processing and indication. Azimuth of deflecting tool is determined in functional converter 9 as Φ-arc tan , where U1 and V are corresponding voltages from flux-gate meters 1 and 2. EFFECT: simplified device for monitoring of deflecting tool azimuth in course of drilling vertical wells with high confidence of measured signal. 1 dwg
