FIELD: sealing technology. SUBSTANCE: seal includes circular members mounted on housing one after another for engagement with mating surface of cylinder. To ensure reliable sealing, seal is provided with circular members having circular recesses. Each sealing member is made from nonmetallic material possessing considerable linear expansion coefficient and low friction coefficient. Each metal member is split and is provided with circular projections and inner chamfer for flexible circular seal; projections of metal members enter circular grooves for nonmetallic members.
