CURRENT TRANSITION FOR UNDERWATER OPERATION Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: equipment meant for operation under water, such as winches used for extracting mineral resources from bottom of water reservoir. SUBSTANCE: current transition has robust sealed easing with removable cover carrying connector joined to cable wound on drum. Cover also mounts equipment units required for operation. Fixed part of current collector is secured by locking screw on central axle and its movable part is coupled through key with casing 2; connector 4 is connected through bunched conductor to movable part. Bunched conductor is passed from fixed part of current collector through central axle to wiring plug joined to casing by means of union nut. Casing that accommodates connector is held in position by means of support. Drum is mounted in slide bearings installed in housings and closed with covers. Casing is held in position against turning by cleat attached to fixed part of winch. All inner spaces are sealed with pacing rings. EFFECT: improved design. 2 cl, 1 dwg
