SUBSTANCE: workpieces are pushed through by the pusher along the supporting knife to the grinding zone at the instant when the longitudinal groove made on the drive wheel takes a position opposite the workpieces, and a cut-in section is made on the working surface of the drive wheel along the longitudinal groove providing for a smooth cutting-in of the grinding wheel in the workpiece surfaces to be finished.
