FIELD: mechanical engineering; materials handling facilities. SUBSTANCE: hand winch is designed for lifting or transportation of various loads when no hoisting mechanisms and appliances are available. Winch has housing 1 which accommodates drive shaft 2, worm wheel 3 engaging with worm 4, drum 5 over which flexible traction member is passed and mechanism to disconnect drum from worm wheel. Drum disconnecting mechanism has bushing 10 installed on drive shaft for axial displacement and fixing in disengage position. Pins 12 are rigidly fitted in bushing, and spring is installed between bushing and housing. EFFECT: reduced labour input in and time in lifting and transportation of loads, possibility of operation at different modes with drum engaged with worm pair or disengaged from worm pair. 2 cl, 8 dwg
