FIELD: various branches of science and engineering. SUBSTANCE: complex rare earth compounds are synthesized by reacting inorganic rare earth compound and corresponding complexing agent. Reaction is carried out by mechanical and chemical activation at reaction mixture to activator working body weight ratio of 1:2-10 and at vibration frequency of 5-50 Hz. Working body is made of ceramics. Reaction mixture further contains 2-10 wt % ethanol or compound of metal selected from Bi, Y, Fb, Gd, La, Ca, Lu or Ce at its molar ratio to rare earth metals of 0.1- 100:1.
