FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to production method of potassium tetrahydroborate, widely used in fine organic synthesis, in nanocomposite production, as noble metal precipitator. Mixed initial reagents: potassium tetraborofluoride, sodium or calcium hydride is mechanochemically preactivated in vibratory mill or centrifugal elliptic ball mill. Then amorphised reaction mass is heated up to temperature 190-220°C and cured at this temperature until hydrogenation is finished. End product is extracted from reacted reaction mass through leaching with aqueous solution of potassium hydroxide followed with crystallisation process.
EFFECT: lower temperature of process without higher hydrogen pressure and at yield at least 98%.
