FIELD: chemistry of polymer. SUBSTANCE: claimed composition comprises (wt %): 10-30 thermoplastic binder and the ground wood balance. The binder comprises mixed ester of cellulose, acetic acid and aliphatic acid of general formula: CnH2n+1COOH having softening temperature of 110-160 C. Thermoplastic binder (cellulose acetobutyrate) is dissolved in acetone, mixed with wood shavings, dried, flat surface is molded, pressed at 195 C, at pressure of 50 kgf/sq. cm at rate of 0.5 min/mm. Simple characteristics: density is 920-1170 kg/cubic m. ultimate bending strength is 16.6-38.3 MPa, water absorption is 2.9-13.3 %, swelling is 1.6-4.5 %. EFFECT: improved properties.
