METHOD OF ISOLATING CONCENTRATE OF BENZENE AND TOLUENE-FORMING COMPONENTS AND STARTING FRACTION FOR PRODUCING POLLUTION-FREE MOTOR FUEL COMPONENT Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

Abstract RU 2092521 C1

FIELD: petrochemical processes. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rectification isolation of concentrate used as starting material for benzene and toluene production involving reforming process as well as starting fraction for production of pollution-free motor fuel component using reforming of long gasoline distillate containing saturated C2-C5-hydrocarbons, benzene-forming saturated C6- hydrocarbons, toluene- forming saturated C7-hydrocarbons, saturated C8-C10-hydrocarbons, aromatic C6-C10-hydrocarbons, and other minor constituents. Process is carried out on two columns. From the first column, top fraction with dry point 95-105 C is withdrawn with C7 to C6-naphtene hydrocarbons weight ratio (0.5-1.5):1. This fraction serves as feed material for the second column to yield top fraction with dry point 65-75 C containing 5-15 wt % of naphtene hydrocarbons based on their total content in raw material. Side distillate from product concentrating part of the second column is concentrate of benzene- and toluene-forming components with boiling range 80-100 C, whereas bottom fraction is raw material for producing pollution-free motor fuel component. Reforming of side fraction gives catalysate with benzene content corresponding to 25-35 wt % of benzene yield based on starting material. On the contrary, benzene (carcinogenic agent) content in catalysate obtained in reforming of the second-column bottom fraction is less than 1%. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of rectification. 1 tbl
