FIELD: gasoline production. SUBSTANCE: component with research octane number 97-108 points and less than 1 wt % of benzene content is isolated from catalysates of long distillates' reforming in heat-mass-exchange apparatus with specific pressure fall 50-600 Pa/m. Along with head fraction with dry point 55-75 C, low-octane benzene fraction with dry point 90-115 C is isolated which is further used as separating agent for mixture of methylcyclohexanes and aromatic hydrocarbons with separating agent to benzene weight ratio (1-15): 1 and, in separating agent, methylcyclohexanes to aromatic hydrocarbons weight ratio (0.3-4):1 followed by extraction of benzene-containing fraction by selective solvent and isolation of commercial benzene using rectification columns or heat-mass-exchange apparatuses.
