FIELD: plastic metal working, namely processes for strengthening thick-sheet blanks. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of applying pulse compression effort to part of blank surface for causing plastic deformation of its material. Efforts are applied in such a way that material is deformed along thickness of blank in condition of its plastic structural formation and rigid inclusions are formed due to applying reverse pulse compression effort normal relative to blank surface. Rigid inclusions have field of elastoplastic stresses along their outer perimeters. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 cl, 4 dwg
