METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING PSYCHOLOGICAL DISPOSITION TO DELINQUENCY IN TEENAGERS Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: medical psychology and psychiatry. SUBSTANCE: teenager is subjected to diagnostic test comprising 22 pairs of words reflecting alternative qualities of teenager's personality. Each quality of personality is evaluated using scale having from 0 to 3 points. Both teenager's self-evaluation and professional psychologist's evaluation are recorded in terms of points, followed by calculating self-evaluation adequacy using formula , wherein ∑(d) is sum total of difference between self-evaluation points and psychologist's evaluation points over entire range of alternative qualities of personality. If value thus- calculated is below 0.55, disposition to delinquency is diagnosed. EFFECT: method is simple, quick to practise and applicable to large number of public services engaged in contacts with teenagers (schools, police, prisons, penitentiary institutions, etc). 1 dwg, 2 tbl
