FIELD: medicine; thoracic surgery. SUBSTANCE: surgeon must proceed as follows: semi-free graft is tailored out of mediastinal pleura in such manner as to preserve its peduncle with blood-supplying arterial vessel and with adjoining fatty tissue. Graft is attached by suturing to bronchus stump by means of through-going 8-shaped terminal sutures so as to keep intact blood-supplying arterial vessel. EFFECT: minimized occurrence rate of formation of bronchial fistulae.
