CARTRIDGE OF CLUSTER ROLLING STAND Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: rolling equipment, namely designs of cluster rolling stands. SUBSTANCE: two cartridges are arranged between backup rolls of sheet rolling stand. Each cartridge includes non-driven rolling roll, intermediate rolling roll and side backup (front and rear) rolls whose barrels are supported by means of hydrostatic bearing assemblies. Bearing assembly is placed in casing in the forь of annular segment mounted in rocking beam freely suspended by means of joint unit in chock of said intermediate roll. Working pockets of said bearing assemblies are joined with feeding line through controlled flowrate regulator in the form of special slide gate. Each bearing assembly may be in the form of row of sections placed along said bearing. Said sections are also mutually joined through flowrate regulator. Such cartridge allows to actively act upon position and(or) profile of rolling roll subjected to non-symmetrical load. EFFECT: improved design of cartridge. 3 cl, 3 dwg
