FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: this method is based on restoration of articles by means of plastic deformation. According to method, restoration of worn articles is effected by adding to article being restored of material which compensates its wear. This material can be part of identical worn-out article and this part is welded to side nonworking surface of article. Then plastic deformation is performed by means of upsetting in hot condition. Worn-out part which is used for obtaining wear-compensating material is cut over length into several sections equal in number to integral number of articles being restored. EFFECT: high efficiency. 3 dwg
