FIELD: plastic metal working; may be used in manufacture and reconditioning by hot rolling of internal profile of gear wheels, for instance, of sliding dog clutch of the 3rd and 4th gears 52-1701118-40 of gearbox synchronizer of GAZ-53 automobile and other similar articles having complicated internal and external profiles. SUBSTANCE: method includes forming in the course of rolling of shaped grooves in the form of truncated bevelled tore with width and diameter multiple to corresponding part dimensions and depth proportional to volume of worn metal, and part rotation axis together with mandrel is displaced towards backup rolls simultaneously with deforming roll in synchronism with changing of position of rolling axis and proportionally to the depth of introduction of deforming roll projections into parts to compensate occurring misalignment between outer cylindrical and internal gear worked surfaces. In this case, to limit metal displacement to part ends and to prevent formation of flash on nonworking surfaces, use is made of restricting flanges made on shafts. In addition, operations forming at temperature of plastic deformation, the internal gear profile and calibrating it at temperature of the beginning of crystallization are combined in time in single process procedure. EFFECT: higher quality of manufacture and reconditioning of complex-profile gear wheels with internal teeth in the course of rolling. 2 dwg
