FIELD: mechanical engineering; materials handling facilities. SUBSTANCE: turning mechanism has series connected hydraulic motor 1, brake coupling, planetary reduction gear and output member with crane turning structure rotation gear. Adapter coupling of hydraulic motor shaft and reduction gear sun gear shaft consists of two kinematically coupled bushings 11 and 12 with splines. Carrier 17 of first planetary train is provided with involute splines similar to those of rim of second planetary train sun gear 18. Ring gears are made in the form of integral unit being the part of mechanism housing, and piston of brake coupling is provided with two spaces one of which being control space and the other, compensating space for equalizing residual drain pressure acting onto piston with brake applied. Separate lubricating baths are provided for each bearing and for gears of planetary reduction gear. EFFECT: improved manufacturability of structure, operation reliability and longevity. 4 cl, 2 dwg
