FIELD: locking devices. SUBSTANCE: cylindrical mechanism of lock has core installed in body with passage for flat key, also at least two sets of spring-loaded paired locking pins installed in holes located coaxially in body and core at both sides of passage for key and perpendicularly to its plane, and flat key having at least one recess for core locking pin. Core is made in the form of cylinder. Cylinder locking pins are provided with heads being asymmetrical in shape for example square. Holes in body and cylinder over part of their length are made square in cross section. Ends of cylinder locking pins in passage for key overlap each other, and recess in key strip is shaped according to configuration of one of cylinder locking pins. EFFECT: high efficiency. 4 cl, 6 dwg
