SUBSTANCE: proposed lighting unit includes gaseous-discharge tubular or similar lamp filled with working medium and having electrodes on ends installed tightly, outer envelope coaxial to lamp and facing lamp with reflecting surface. There are made corner reflectors with mirror faces on them. Envelope has windows for output of radiation which may be closed by reflecting light filters. EFFECT: enhanced intensity of light in direction normal to axis of lamp with simultaneous prolongation of lamp service life. 2 cl, 8 dwg
