FIELD: lighting.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a lighting means having a gas volume and a coaxial HF-energy injection device for exciting same with surface waves. It is provided that coaxial HF-energy injection device (3) has central conductor (4) introduced into gas volume (2), said conductor being galvanically separated from input structure and gas volume located on longitudinal axis of coaxial sheath and at a distance from input structure protruding from coaxial sheath, wherein area of central conductor protruding from coaxial sheath is still located inside gas volume and therefore is contained in gas volume, which during operation enables to generate a surface wave, passing along central conductor beyond input structure, and transform gas volume into plasma state.
EFFECT: technical result is high efficiency of lighting device.
