FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: gas-discharge mirror lamp comprises torch mounted on current leads into spherically symmetric flask with at least half its inner surface coated with mirror layer to have the plane passing through the layer lengthwise edges located parallel to torch axis. The latter is located on lengthwise plane of symmetry and shifted from flask axis to mirror layer. Mirror reflector with V-crosswise section, isolated from current leads, is arranged between aforesaid torch and flask mirror layer. Note here that the distance from torch axis can make 1.0 to 1.4 of torch diametre d, reflector width B varies from 3.6 d to 4.4 d, and reflector depth H varies from 0.4 d to 0.8 d. Reflector rib is located in lengthwise plane of lamp symmetry at distance L that varies from 2.0 d to 2.8 d. Note here that reflector face cross sections protrude towards flask mirror layer faces convexity radius R varying from 7.0 d to 9.0 d. Note also that reflector lengthwise edges are directed from the rib to flask mirror surface.
