FIELD: radars. SUBSTANCE: method involves receiving pulses of radar to be suppressed by means of searching unit of jamming station, measuring azimuth and heading angular coordinates of radar with respect to jamming station, measuring radar pulse rate period or duration of pulse bursts (when Doppler-effect radars are suppressed), measuring traveling time for passing electromagnetic waves from radar to jamming station and back to radar (2tp), emitting jamming pulses in response to each radar pulse or in response to first pulse of each pulse burst using delay time τd, emitting jamming signal of maximal power (Pmax) for τm, dropping jamming power down to level of Pmin and keeping this level for time which is equal to difference between radar pulse rate period (or burst duration) Te and τm. Value of Pmin for each radar to be suppressed conforms to condition: . Values τd and τm are calculated using equations: τd = τe - 2tp, or equations: , where c is electromagnetic energy spreading speed, Rmin is minimal effective distance between radar and object to be concealed. Value of 2tp is determined by ranging radar or object radar is located in using jamming station. EFFECT: decreased mean power of jamming, decreased power consumption by emitter. 5 cl, 9 dwg
