FIELD: radar.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pulse Doppler onboard radar systems for primary signal processing. Frequency range of reflections from the earth's surface along the side and main lobes of the antenna pattern depends on the flight speed of the carrier of the radar station. When the carrier speed increases, the range of speeds of targets unmasked by passive interference is unacceptably narrowed. This reduces the probability of correct detection of targets and inadmissible reduction of the range of the radar station. To solve this problem, the disclosed method involves changing the frequency of repetition of probing pulses while maintaining a fixed range of Doppler velocities, which does not overlap with passive interference. This makes it possible to improve conditions for detection of useful signals and to increase range of action of pulse-Doppler radar stations.
EFFECT: providing a higher probability of detecting targets in an area free from passive interference.
