FIELD: radar ranging and radio navigation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for radar detection of low-visibility targets and can be used to obtain a multi-beam mode in a standard pulse-Doppler radar station (RS) with a passive phased antenna array (PAA) or for additional multiple increase in the number of beams in a multibeam radar station with an active PAA. Technical result is achieved due to that transmitting and PAA beam control system transmitting probing pulses, and by means of single-channel, series-connected receiver, analogue-to-digital converter, echo signal converter to video frequency, optimum filter, echo signal distributor by separate channels and moving target selection system, moving objects are detected, as well as due to the fact that the directions of the transmitted and received beams of the phased antenna array are changed, the echo signals are distributed at the video frequency both on the beam channels and in the range channels in each of the beam channels and detection of moving targets by a selection system having a number of channels equal to the product of the number of beams per number of range channels over a certain period of pulses of the transmitter.

EFFECT: improved efficiency of pulse-Doppler radar station with PAA when operating on low-visibility and low-speed objects.
