FIELD: drinking water production. SUBSTANCE: membrane filter element is treated by 0.02-0.2% polyacrylamide aqueous solution for 10-60 s, then by 0.1-1.0% polyhexamethyleneguanidine solution in ethanol for 10-60 s at pressure at least 7 atm followed by blowing off with nitrogen for 1-3 min and water washing for 2-5 min. Pipelines are treated by 0.5-2.0% polyhexamethyleneguanidine solution in acetone- ethanol mixture. Into cartridge with sorbent, zeolite in quality at least 0.5 wt % is added. Then apparatus is assembled and connected to water conduit. EFFECT: increased water purity. 1 tbl
