FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to railway transport and can be used as independent power source for railway cars. To surface of rotation of wheel pair by means of pressing device through friction gasket pressed thermoelectric converter one surface for provision of its heating. On other surface of converter fixed radiator to ensure required temperature difference on surfaces. Electric current from output of converter is used for charging battery. Device comprises storage battery, electric generator, a device for converting and stabilisation of voltage and current, as well as devices for connection and disconnection of battery. Generator used is a thermoelectric converter, which is pressed through one surface of friction pad to surface of rotation of wheel pair, and on its other surface is fixed radiator. Outputs of converter are connected to input of a device for converting and stabilisation of voltage and current output of which is connected to inputs of accumulator and inputs of equipment fed by connection and disconnection.

EFFECT: method of power supply involves conversion of car wheel pair rotation force into electric energy.
