FIELD: rocketry and space engineering. SUBSTANCE: according to first version, flying vehicle includes case and rocket engine with combination chamber and axisymmetric supersonic nozzle. Rocket-propelled flying vehicle is provided with cover mounted on its case outside the engine; this cover includes gas-tight bottom and side wall which are connected hermetically. Area of open end of cover is more than nozzle exit section. Rocket engine is mounted in such a way that edge of nozzle exit section is located inside cover at spaced relation to inner surface of wall of cover at a distance from open end of cover no less than half-difference of diameters of nozzle exit section and end. According to second version, rocket-propelled flying vehicle cover is secured on members of rocket engine. It is good practice to introduce members of flying vehicle case into construction of cover and to make side wall of cover from elastic material for folding or rolling it. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of flying vehicle due to increased thrust and specific impulse of rocket engine and reduced mass of structural members. 20 cl, 15 dwg
