FIELD: space engineering. SUBSTANCE: method includes determination of coordinates of launch pad followed by levelling, estimation of safe zone, installation and electric connection of launching rig and components of ground equipment. Then launching position is formed on launch pad and point of launching the rocket is noted; direction of flight is determined relative to this point, after which launching position is strengthened to level for withstanding pressure from 3.5 to 4.5 kgf/sq.cm. Levelling is effected at longitudinal inclination within 0-1 deg and transverse inclination within 0-2 deg and insertion members are mounted on launching position. This done, longitudinal axis of launching rig is oriented along direction of rocket flight and launching rig is secured on insertion members. Ground equipment for launching the rocket includes transport and transfer units with attachments for securing the equipment, container with rocket, launcher, check-and-start devices, electronic devices, technical systems and auxiliary equipment.
