FIELD: medicine, veterinary science and food industry. SUBSTANCE: present invention describes method of preparing ecological lignin sorbent by treating hydrolysis lignin with reagents, extracting the extract and drying. Lignin is subjected to grinding and two stage treatment: lignin is first treated with 40-96 % ethanol for at 20-50 C 50-80 minutes or with water at 120 C for 15-30 minutes, or with water at 80-100 C for 50-80 minutes, and at second stage lignin is subjected to boiling in water for 1 hour two times, and each time extract is removed. Ballast compounds are removed from hydrolysis lignin, and agent is obtained. Said agent has high sorption properties as sterilization resistant and has sterility that does not shift pH of aqueous media. This is essential for safe use when agent is contacted with blood, milk or other biological liquids to be successfully used in medicine and biotechnology.
