FIELD: metal working. SUBSTANCE: steel parts are put into iron box with solid carburizer and heated to 930 C. Cementation is conducted to 1 mm depth. Parts are cooled in boxes under air atmosphere to 680-550 C, kept for 0.3-0.5 h at this temperature, heated to 800-820 C, and quenched. EFFECT: increased durability of parts, speeded up production, and improved operational conditions. 2 cl, 1 tbl
