BULLET Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: plain-barrel hunting guns. SUBSTANCE: bullet includes body composed of deformed and forward narrowing nose part with through axial hole, subcaliber cylindrical middle part and tail part of smaller diameter, stabilizer and wad. Middle part of body is manufactured as one unit with tail part and has axial protrusion with cylindrical front part on front butt. Nose part is set fixedly as far as it goes on butt of body. Wad has two or more obturating skirts in its side surface and blind axial hole in front part to accommodate axially symmetric protrusion in butt of tail part which rests against spacer made from flexible material placed in blind hole. Stabilizer is interference fitted on tail part and has 5 or 6 caliber ribs, one side surface of which is flat and inclined to longitudinal axis of bullet at angle 2-4 deg. Side surface opposite to it is smoothly convex and both ends of ribs are rounded. EFFECT: improved operational characteristics of bullet. 3 cl, 3 dwg
