FIELD: experimental equipment, design of blast chambers of various types, protective structures used for work with explosive objects including those with radioactive components localizing explosion products for protection of environment in case of emergency blasting of object. SUBSTANCE: gear localizing explosion products has outer metal cylindrical housing with ribbed flat bottoms, shock absorbers manufactured in the form of set of metal cylindrical shells and plates, positioned in parallel to bottoms and separated by filling agent. Plates rest freely against frames attached to inner surface of outer cylindrical housing. Flow ducts made in the form of holes are used for flow of gas from internal working space of gear into space between bottom and nearest shock-absorbing plate preventing impact of plate against bottom. One of bottoms has leak-tight inlet into internal space of gear which walls are coated by layer of anti-fragmentation net.
