FIELD: lighting engineering. SUBSTANCE: process includes press-fitting electrode leads into respective stem, blowing-down exhaust tube in stem, wiring electrode assemblies, fixing mercury supply, sealing stems, evacuating lamp tube, filling it with inert gas, tapping, checking tube for adequate filling by exiting electric discharge in it, introducing mercury by thermal decomposition of mercury supply, basing the tube, and seasoning; lamp brightness is measured at the moment of electric discharge excitation and measured lamp glow is converted into electric signal which is compared with desired range; results of comparison are used to check for adequate filling of fluorescent lamp, and faulty lamps are rejected by sending signal to final element; mercury thermal decomposition to obtain rated light flux is carried out after lamp seasoning. EFFECT: improved yield and environmental friendliness of process. 2 dwg
