FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology of cold rolling on continuous wide-sheet mills and may be used in setting-up rolls between their operating periods. Method involves displacing a pair of rolls out of stand, leveling temperature along the length of roll bodies, and their refacing. Once refaced, rolls are heated with variable intensity along the length of roll bodies, heating intensity from edge to center of body increasing within the range from 0.5 to 3 C/min and ratio of hot liquid fed onto lower and upper rolls being (0.8-0.9):1. EFFECT: increased endurance of rolls due to producing charge heat profile. 2 tbl
